FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Atlanta Clinic

Usually yes, and most patients do. Abdomen and flanks get combined constantly because they read as one contour. Adding a third or fourth area is a question of how much work each needs and the legal cap on fat removed in one sitting. All of it happens at 3576 Chamblee Tucker Road, operating rooms included.

They are part of the plan here, not an upsell. Sessions run at the clinic across the weeks after surgery to help swelling settle and reduce fibrosis, and patients mention them more than almost anything else. Expect to come in weekly for a while. Call (833) 462-5769 to sort the schedule.

The abdomen, generally, and anything involving a large volume. Flanks and back settle sooner. Arms and the chin and neck are quickest, which is why people book those around work. Whatever the area, swelling takes months rather than weeks to finish, so the week-two mirror is not the verdict.

Our Atlanta clinic is on Tucker Road, off I-85 near Northlake, with its own free lot. Given weekly massage visits, that free parking makes each trip easier. Hair restoration is not offered in Atlanta right now. Call us and we will help you find the nearest Goals clinic that offers it.

Arms are among the more manageable areas for that, though you will be in compression sleeves and sore for the first week. Desk work is realistic quickly. Lifting is not. You also leave with an after-hours number, and if something looks like a genuine emergency, go to the nearest ER first.

About twenty minutes outside rush hour, inside I-285 near Northlake. Parking is free and on site, which is the practical advantage over downtown when you are coming back weekly. Doraville and Chamblee are the nearest MARTA stops but both need a short rideshare at the end.

Body Contouring at Tucker Road, Area by Area

Most people arrive with somewhere specific in mind. The stomach that never went back after a pregnancy. The upper arms. The line under the chin that photographs badly. What they usually do not know is that each area behaves differently once you operate on it, with its own recovery, its own restrictions and its own settling time. So this page works down the body rather than through a procedure list. Everything here is done awake under local anesthetic at 3576 Chamblee Tucker Road, and the post-operative massages that follow are part of the plan rather than an extra.

This is a contouring clinic before anything else: fat removal, fat transfer, skin tightening. FlexSculpt, Brazilian Butt Lift, tummy tuck, FlexTuck, mommy makeover, breast surgery, gynecomastia correction, and focused work on arms, chin and neck. Around those sit fat loss shots, J-Plasma tightening, Instant BBL with filler, plus microdermabrasion.

It was the first Goals clinic in Georgia. It sits just inside I-285 near Northlake with its own lot, and that parking matters more than it sounds once you understand the aftercare schedule: post-operative massages run weekly for around a month, and you will be making that drive while still sore.

Operating rooms and recovery space are in the building, so consultation, surgery and every follow-up happen at one address. Worth checking wherever you go: plenty of cosmetic surgery is sold at one address and performed at another, and patients tend to find out late. Sitting in the room where the work will happen, with the person who will do it, removes one unknown.

The stomach is the commonest request and the one where the wrong procedure gets chosen most often. If the problem is fat, FlexSculpt handles it: tumescent liposuction, local anesthetic, small incisions, and the flanks usually treated alongside because abdomen and flanks read as a single contour rather than two. Treating one without the other is how you end up with a shape that looks unfinished. Most patients are back to light activity within a few days.

If the problem is skin, or muscle that separated during pregnancy, no amount of liposuction fixes it. That is what tummy tuck and FlexTuck are for. A mommy makeover bundles abdominal and breast work into one planned operation, which sounds like more surgery and is actually less disruption, because there is a single recovery instead of two.

The abdomen is also the slowest area to settle. Expect months rather than weeks before the shape is final, and expect the compression garment to be a bigger nuisance here than anywhere else. This is the area where patients most often judge the result far too early and talk themselves into a panic somewhere around week three.

Brazilian Butt Lift is the area where fat gets kept rather than discarded. It comes off the waist, back or thighs, is purified, and goes into the buttocks and hips, including the hip dips a standard Brazilian Butt Lift tends to leave alone. Patients describe the outcome as proportion rather than volume, which is the honest way to put it.

This area carries the most disruptive restriction in contouring: you cannot sit directly on the buttocks for roughly a fortnight. Driving, working, eating dinner all have to be rethought, and people rarely plan for it. Some of the transferred fat also reabsorbs, always, and anyone who does not say so before you book is managing you rather than informing you.

Instant BBL with Radiesse is the alternative for this region: filler rather than fat, so nothing is harvested and there are no sitting restrictions. It fades over a year or two as the material breaks down. Used deliberately that is useful, and some patients preview a shape this way before committing to something permanent.

These are the small-scale areas and the smaller scale is the appeal rather than a compromise. Arm contouring slims the upper arm so the line from shoulder to elbow reads cleanly. Chin and neck work clears the fullness that makes a jawline disappear in photographs. Both settle faster than the abdomen and both are commonly booked by people who cannot vanish from work for a fortnight.

Being awake helps most in exactly these areas. You can be asked to turn your head, tense, or sit up, and the surgeon reads the contour the way other people will see it rather than flat on a table. On the chin and neck especially, a few millimetres decides whether the result looks natural, and that judgement is far easier to make on someone upright and responsive.

Everything here runs under local anesthetic, which is also the safety argument. General anesthesia carries documented risk that climbs with weight and age, and removing it removes that whole category of complication rather than reducing it. You go home the same afternoon without the fog or the lost day that follows being put under.

Suitability is area-specific as much as patient-specific. The general bar is reasonable health, a weight that has held steady, and particular regions that have not responded to diet and training. A high BMI is not an automatic no. What gets weighed is medical history, the areas in question, and what your skin and frame will physically allow in each one.

Skin quality decides more cases than fat does, and it varies by region. Skin that still retracts settles neatly over a smaller contour. Skin that lost elasticity to age, pregnancy or a large weight loss may not, and removing fat underneath can make looseness louder rather than quieter. That is why some patients get steered toward a tuck or a tightening treatment in one area while liposuction suits another.

There is also a legal cap on how much fat comes out in one sitting, which is why multi-area plans sometimes get staged across two operations. Contouring is not weight loss and will not stand in for it. If your weight is still moving, waiting protects the result, because a contour bought today shifts when the scale does.

Consultations can start by video, which is how out-of-state patients usually begin. Photos get reviewed, history gets covered, and you find out whether the area you came in about is the one that needs work. Plenty of people arrive focused on the stomach and leave having been told the flanks matter more to the overall shape.

An in-person assessment at Tucker Road follows before anything is confirmed, and on the day itself there is a marking session: standing at a mirror while the surgeon draws the areas on you. It feels clinical and slightly absurd and it matters, because those lines are drawn upright with gravity doing what gravity does. Pre-op instructions on medication, eating and who drives you home come out of that appointment. Follow them exactly.

Bring questions written down, and make them area-specific. How many of these has this surgeon done on this particular region. What does week two look like for the abdomen versus the arms. What happens if one side settles differently. What would make you refuse to operate. An appointment where every answer soothes you is worth less than one where somebody is straight about the limits.

You go home the same day. Compression garments stay on for several weeks and light walking starts almost immediately, because lying still is worse for you than moving gently. Desk work returns inside a week for most people, the gym at four to six, and the exact figure depends on which areas were treated rather than on a single universal timeline.

Post-operative massage is part of the plan here rather than something sold separately, and it is what Atlanta patients mention most. Sessions run at the clinic across the weeks after surgery to help swelling settle and reduce fibrosis. This is the practical argument for the free lot off I-85: you will be making that drive weekly while still sore, and the version of that trip into downtown parking is a different proposition.

Swelling takes months to finish settling, so week two is not what you keep, and the timeline differs by region: arms and chin move quickly, the abdomen is slow. Everybody leaves with an after-hours number. Plan the first week properly with a ride home, food in the fridge, and two or three quiet days even if day one feels fine.

Price follows the areas. How many, which ones, and how much work each needs, which is why a figure quoted before an examination is invention. Treating two adjacent regions together is usually better value than returning for the second one later, and that arithmetic is worth having openly. Raise financing at the start rather than the end, because what you can carry decides whether the plan happens at once or in stages.

Check the license, and ask how often this surgeon works on your specific area rather than how many procedures they do overall. Look at results on people whose starting point resembles yours. Ask who is actually operating and what changes if they become unavailable closer to the date, because at busy practices that answer sometimes moves and patients discover it the week before.

Packages abroad read well on price until you add flights, accommodation and time off, and until you work out that the weekly massage schedule does not travel. Put the week-three question to whoever you are considering: what happens if something looks wrong then, and who sees me. Being twenty minutes up I-85 means a scar healing oddly or swelling that drags on gets seen the week it appears, by the person who did the work.
