Didactic Curriculum
Self-paced video and written modules: tumescent pharmacology and weight-based lidocaine dosing, infiltration technique, cannula selection, operative planning, patient selection and gluteal fat-grafting safety.
A structured program for U.S.-licensed surgeons and procedural physicians in large-volume tumescent lipoplasty under local anesthesia and autologous gluteal fat grafting. Didactics, case observation and proctored operating, to the protocols Goals surgeons follow in AAAHC-accredited facilities.
Didactic curriculum · Case observation · Proctored operating
Overview
Physicians licensed in the United States whose training and scope of practice include liposuction: board-certified or board-eligible plastic surgeons, general surgeons, dermatologic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons, and other physicians with documented procedural training. The program addresses large-volume tumescent lipoplasty performed under local anesthesia with the patient awake, power-assisted harvest, and autologous fat grafting to the gluteal region. The didactic modules and case observation involve no patient care. Proctored operating does, and requires an active license in the training state and professional liability coverage that extends to that site.
Structure
Enroll in one component, or progress from the didactic curriculum through proctored operating.
Self-paced video and written modules: tumescent pharmacology and weight-based lidocaine dosing, infiltration technique, cannula selection, operative planning, patient selection and gluteal fat-grafting safety.
Observe tumescent lipoplasty and gluteal fat-grafting cases at a Goals facility, from consultation and preoperative marking through infiltration, aspiration, grafting and the postoperative protocol.
Perform cases under the direct supervision of a Goals surgeon. Requires an active license in the training state and professional liability coverage for that site.
Physicians who complete the program may apply to operate with Goals, through the same credentialing every Goals surgeon undergoes.
Teaching record
Goals surgeons have presented these techniques to physician audiences at a national meeting, with live operative demonstration.
Perfecting Curves Using Liposculpture With FlexSculpt: a one-hour workshop with live operative demonstration (August 26, 2021).
Tumescent Gluteal Augmentation and Liposculpture With FlexSculpt: principles and case studies, with live operative demonstration (August 28, 2021).
Sessions led by Goals surgeons, including Dr. Sergey Voskin, who developed the lipoplasty protocol taught in this program. Goals was an official sponsor of the meeting’s workshops and presentations.
Curriculum
The protocols on our safety standards page, taught at the level of detail our own surgeons learn them.
Solution formulation, weight-based maximum lidocaine dosing, infiltrate-to-aspirate planning, and the delayed plasma lidocaine peak that governs monitoring and discharge.
Operating under local anesthesia without sedation: positioning and repositioning, intraoperative assessment of contour in the standing position, power-assisted aspiration, and endpoint judgment by pinch and symmetry.
Indications and contraindications, BMI thresholds, medical and medication history, and documenting the decision to decline or defer.
Per-session total aspirate limits, fluid balance, and staging larger cases across sessions rather than exceeding limits in one.
Harvest, processing and reinjection of autologous fat confined to the subcutaneous plane: cannula diameter and rigidity, injection angle, continuous cannula movement, and the multi-society task force recommendations that define the standard.
Accredited ambulatory-facility requirements, intraoperative monitoring, recognition and management of local anesthetic systemic toxicity, and hospital-transfer protocols.
Compression, drainage management, activity progression, follow-up intervals, and recognition of seroma, infection and contour irregularity.
Informed consent for awake procedures, operative documentation, standardized before-and-after photography, and truthful representation of outcomes.
Fees
Each component is priced on its own, so a surgeon who only needs proctored cases does not pay for a curriculum they have already covered. Fees are confirmed in writing before any payment.
$19,500
Didactic curriculum, five observation days and three proctored operating days.
$1,950
Self-paced online modules. Required before any clinic component.
$1,950
Per clinic day; five consecutive days $7,500. No patient care, so no license in the training state is required.
$4,950
Per operating day, two-day minimum. Requires an active license in the training state and professional liability coverage.
Fees cover faculty time, facility access and curriculum materials. Travel, lodging, licensing and professional liability coverage are the applicant’s responsibility. The program confers no credential or privileges.

FAQ
Large-volume tumescent lipoplasty under local anesthesia with power-assisted harvest, and autologous fat grafting to the gluteal region, together with the anesthesia pharmacology, patient selection and facility standards that underpin each.
Not for the didactic curriculum or case observation, which involve no patient care. For proctored operating, yes: an active license in the state where you operate and professional liability coverage that extends to that site.
No. The program teaches technique and protocol. It is not a board certification, does not confer a credential, and grants no privileges at any facility. Credentialing remains a separate process at Goals and elsewhere.
Practicing Goals surgeons who perform tumescent lipoplasty and gluteal fat grafting in Goals facilities. The faculty has taught these techniques to physician audiences before, including a workshop and a lunch-and-learn with live operative demonstration at Miami Cosmetic Surgery 2021.
Yes, by application. Program graduates undergo the same credentialing as every Goals surgeon: license and board verification, professional liability coverage and claims history, hospital privileges, and proctored initial cases.
The didactic curriculum is $1,950; case observation $1,950 per clinic day, or $7,500 for five consecutive days; proctored operating $4,950 per operating day with a two-day minimum; and the complete pathway, which combines all three, $19,500. Fees are confirmed in writing before any payment.
