Relaxes the muscles that crease the forehead, brows and eyes, softening lines that are made by movement.
A few units placed precisely into the muscles that fold the skin. It takes three to five days to begin and about two weeks to settle fully.
Your injector watches your face move, because the muscles causing your lines are specific to you.
Small, precise doses into the muscles responsible, using a very fine needle.
Seen again at two weeks, when the effect is complete, and adjusted if anything needs it.
Forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, and crow's feet.
Forehead lines, the frown between the brows, crow's feet at the eyes.
Creases that are beginning to be visible at rest — the best time to start.
Dosed to soften rather than freeze, which is a matter of technique and restraint.
And no neuromuscular condition that makes it unsuitable.
How botox compares with dermal fillers.
| What it does | Relaxes the muscle that creases the skin | Adds volume under the skin |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Lines from movement — forehead, frown, crow's feet | Hollows, folds and contour |
| How long it lasts | Three to four months | Nine to eighteen months |
| Onset | Three to seven days, full effect at two weeks | Immediate |
| Downtime | None | A day or two of swelling |
Here is how it goes, step by step.
Sit down with the injector in Atlanta, go over what bothers you, and confirm botox is the right answer to it.
What is being used, how much, where, and what it will and will not do. Written down before anything is agreed.
Numbing where it is needed, then the treatment itself. Most appointments are shorter than the drive in.
No general anesthesia and no downtime worth the name. You are told what to avoid for the first evening.
The result takes a few days to a couple of weeks to be fully itself, depending on what was used.
A follow-up to see the settled result, and a plan for when to repeat it.
Recovery is a sequence, not a date. This is the shape of it.
Back to normal immediately. No lying flat or rubbing the area for four hours.
The effect begins.
Full effect, and the point at which any adjustment is made.
Movement returns gradually and it is repeated.
Botox softens the lines your face makes when it moves. It takes three to seven days to start and two weeks to be complete, and it wears off over three to four months.
Visible from about a week, complete at two.
Particularly across the forehead and between the brows.
Regular treatment stops movement lines from etching in permanently.
Straight back to your day, with a few simple instructions for the first evening.
Every procedure is performed by a licensed U.S. surgeon in an accredited facility. Goals is a management company; the medical practice and the surgeon responsible in your state are named in our terms.
Credentials differ by surgeon and are listed in full on each surgeon's page.
Botox starts at $800. Your price is confirmed at consultation and depends on what your case actually needs. A $500 deposit reserves your surgery date.

An estimate, not a quote. It divides the starting price over the months you choose and assumes no interest. Goals works with several lenders and your rate, term and approval are settled with them — the financing page has the detail, and your price is confirmed at consultation.
Only if it is overdone. Dosed properly you keep expression and lose the crease.
Three to four months for most people, a little longer with regular treatment.
Not if it is dosed properly. Freezing is the result of too much product or poor placement. Tell your injector you want movement preserved and a good one will dose accordingly.
Three to seven days for the first signs, two weeks for the full effect. That two-week point is when it should be reviewed.
Partly, over time, by stopping the movement that deepens them. Lines already etched into the skin usually also need filler or resurfacing.
Goals has more than one clinic in Atlanta — Atlanta and Atlanta — and botox is performed at each of them. Which one you choose is usually a question of travel rather than of technique: the operation, the standards and the pricing are the same across the group, and your follow-ups are easiest at whichever address you can reach without planning your day around it. What follows applies at all of them.
Goals operates in Atlanta, and botox is performed at each address by licensed U.S. surgeons in accredited facilities. Pricing does not change between them, so the sensible way to choose is by the journey: pick the clinic you can reach easily for the consultation, because you will be going back for follow-ups and a shorter trip on a sore day matters more than it sounds like it will. Consultations across Atlanta are free and available in English or Spanish, and each one ends with a written quote for your case rather than a price range for someone else's.
Botulinum toxin type A is a purified protein that temporarily blocks the signal between nerve and muscle. Injected in small, precise doses into a specific muscle, it reduces that muscle's ability to contract. Because dynamic lines — the ones that appear when you frown, raise your brows or smile — are creases folded into the skin by muscle movement, relaxing the muscle lets the skin lie flat and the line softens. It is not a filler and it adds nothing; it takes movement away. The effect is temporary because nerve endings regenerate, which is why treatment is repeated every three to four months.
It works reliably on lines caused by movement: horizontal forehead lines, the vertical frown lines between the brows, and crow's feet at the outer eyes. It also has established uses beyond lines — softening a gummy smile, slimming the jaw where the masseter muscle is overdeveloped, lifting the outer brow slightly, and reducing excessive sweating in the underarms. What it does not do is fill. Static lines that are visible when your face is completely still, deep folds from nose to mouth, hollow temples and thin lips are volume problems, and no amount of toxin addresses them — that is what filler, or in some cases resurfacing, is for.
Two people can have the same product injected and get very different outcomes, and the reason is almost always dose and placement. Muscle strength varies considerably: a strong frown muscle needs more units than a weak one, and men typically need more than women. Injecting the forehead without accounting for the fact that the forehead muscle is the only thing holding the brow up is how brows get dropped. Treating one muscle group in isolation when they work in balance is how expressions end up looking odd. A good injector examines your face at rest and in motion, doses to your anatomy, and brings you back at two weeks to check.
The whole thing takes ten to twenty minutes. Your face is assessed while you frown, raise your brows and smile. The areas are cleaned, and a very fine needle is used for a series of small injections — most people describe it as a brief sting rather than pain, and numbing cream is available for anyone who wants it. There is no downtime. You will be asked to stay upright for a few hours, avoid rubbing the treated areas, and skip strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for the rest of the day. Small red bumps at the injection points settle within an hour, and occasional bruising resolves within a few days.
Nothing happens on the day. The effect begins at three to seven days and is complete at around two weeks, which is when your result should be reviewed and topped up if any area needs it. It then holds for roughly three to four months before movement gradually returns. Duration varies with dose, with the muscle treated, with metabolism and with how much exercise you do. Patients who treat regularly often find the interval lengthens over time, because a muscle that has been relaxed repeatedly becomes weaker. Letting it wear off completely between treatments is fine and does nothing harmful; it simply means starting from the beginning each time.
Botulinum toxin has been used cosmetically for decades and has a well-established safety record when administered by a trained injector in a medical setting. Side effects are usually minor and temporary: bruising, tenderness, headache for a day or two. The two that matter are eyelid or brow droop from product diffusing where it was not intended, which is uncommon, resolves as the effect wears off, and is largely a function of placement. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in people with certain neuromuscular disorders, and any previous reaction should be mentioned before treatment.
Botox at Goals is priced per unit or per area and quoted at your consultation, which is free. The number of units depends on the muscles being treated and their strength, so any quoted price without an assessment is a guess. What matters more than price is who is holding the needle: ask who will be injecting you and what their training is, ask how many units they are proposing and why, and ask whether a two-week review is included. Be cautious of pricing that is dramatically below the market — the product is expensive, and unusually cheap treatment usually means it has been diluted or it is not what it claims to be.
